Popnitad grill ?

Hej ,

Försökte precis skruva bort grillen för att komma åt och montera nya extraljus, enligt haynes manual så är det bara åtta skruvar som ska hålla fast grillen.

Men på min koja så är det 4 skruvar på sidorna , sen 4 popnitar överst !??

Är det nåt som satts dit i efterhand tror ni pga trasiga gängor eller nåt liknande ?
Har en mini cooper 97 ? Eller är det nån annan som har popnitad grill med ?

Originally there should be Plåtsrews holding the top of the grill (just like the sides). As plåtscrews cut their own "thread" the more you remove the grill the bigger the holes get, there is no real damage.

The previous owner has just chosen to fit rivets instead of large screws. You just need to buy large screws to refit.

To remove the rivits, is very easy, just drill the heads of.

Just use a small drill bit, and take it slow and easy. The rivets are soft aluminum and are easy to drill, just go straight through the middle.
